General Description: When people meet Jacqui for the first time, they assume she is either a modest, kind girl or a stuck-up brat. Truthfully, she doesn't fall neatly into either stereotype, but she is more the latter than the former.
Jacqui is vain, to say the least. She cares overly much about her appearance, whether by nature or nurture. She will always be the first to judge someone else based on their looks, and sticks by this first impression no matter what. She is drawn to big, pretty things and will always pick the handsome bastard over any homely sweetheart. She finds modesty distasteful in most people.
She is also quick tempered, which gives her a bit of a hotheaded reputation at home. She finds fault in many things and is driven to correct them, although she prefers to delegate the work to someone else. She doesn't go out of her way to do more work, to say the least. People have called her lazy, but that's one thing Jacqui truly is not. It may seem that way, but given a task she can't pawn off, she will always do it well and in a timely manner. She hates it when something is left undone, and if it happens, she will often do it herself.
Jacqui isn't prone to extreme emotions, and although not the proverbial rock, she very rarely gets into an all-out rage. She isn't given to flights of fancy, and is very much in control of her outward emotions. It's difficult to tell when she's sad, since Jacqui absolutely hates when random people ask her if she's okay.
Hair: light brown
Eyes: blue
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 132 pounds
Played By: Joanna Levesque
General Appearance: Jacqui is about average, in most aspects of her appearance. She blends into crowds well, but she doesn't have such a common face that people forget her. She is about five foot five with shoes, and has a medium build, which puts her at just over 130 pounds.
Jacqui has hair that stands on the line between wavy and curly; just straight enough to not be curly, really. She was born with brown hair, but with the sun it has lightened a little, which is more noticeable in summer. Her eyebrows are set apart from her eyes, which gives Jacqui a permanently surprised, or at least startled, look. Her eyes are a nondescript shade of blue; they don't sparkle unless she's looking at the sun, don't change color, and are basically just like the next person's eyes.
Jacqui has thin lips which frame her two front teeth, which look almost too big for her mouth, and they are. While she doesn't look like a beaver, her front teeth are larger than she likes. It's something she's very self-concision about, and due to this, she doesn't like her smile.
Father: Jonathan Schmidt, 43, graphic designer
Mother: Kelley Schmidt, 40, horse trainer
Siblings: none
Pets: her horse, Kehr Carnett
History: Jacqui's parents are quite possibly the best ones Jacqui could hope for. Her father, John, is a successful designer, the main breadwinner for the family. Her mother is a renowned horse trainer, specializing in hunter/jumpers. Jacqui had the luck to be born into the perfect family, at least for her purposes.
Granted, John and Kelley are free spirits, late hippies if you will, and although they are good at what they do, they've never been good at parenting. Jacqui grew up in a house (thankfully with no siblings) where she was given basically free reign. She attended unconventional kindergarten, one that focused not on entertaining the children and maybe teaching something in the process, but the polar opposite. She stayed at that school until second grade, when she transferred to public school in the middle of the year and at least a grade level above her classmates.
Jacqui started riding with her mother when she was four, first on a small pony who defied the stereotype and was very sweet. When she was good enough to show at age six, she and the pony swept the local small pony divisions, much to the chagrin of the regular attendees. For a few years, until she outgrew the pony, she showed locally and at a few small rated shows, and it was much more important than school for her.
At ten, Jacqui and her family moved south to a state-of-the-art stable in southern Virginia. Her mother had gotten a position as head trainer, a big step up from her previous job. Her father, as he worked from home, was more than happy to transfer. For the first year, Jacqui didn't have a horse to ride exclusively, and so she considers the year she turned eleven as the year she improved the most, because she was bounced from horse to horse.
Just after her twelfth birthday, Jacqui was given a horse to ride: a children's hunter gelding, a bay named Epstein Barr. After a year of kicking butt on the circuit, Jacqui bought the bay. Sadly, when she was sixteen, Eppy succumbed to colic at the age of twelve. For a while, Jacqui didn't want to ride.
For months, she didn't go to the barn more than absolutely necessary. She didn't ride. She refused to pass the stall Eppy used to live, and she couldn't go near the place he was buried. But, in a crazy turn of events, she witnessed another bay, very like Eppy, but taller and slightly more robust, being ridden. Her interest piqued, and when it turned out this bay gelding, Kehr Carnett, was Eppy's full brother, Jacqui begged her parents to buy him for her. It didn't take long before she had a new horse, and soon after a new school: Hollywood Academy. She's very new at modeling, have nearly no experience.

Sidney woke up in the freezing cold at six thirty in the morning. He knew exactly what was wrong; the heater was screwed up. He had waited to call and get it fixed, since the weather for the past few days had been balmy and perfect. But now, when it was forty degrees, it was not quite so spiffy. He stumbled out of bed, still wrapped in his comforter, and walked clumsily to the phone. Of course, the repair place wasn't open this early, but he left a message with his cell phone number and went about getting dressed.
Sidney managed to put his clothes on and keep the blanket firmly wrapped around him. The problem was, this was a very difficult thing to do and he ended up having to turn his shirt around so he didn't look like an idiot. Finally, after much trouble, he walked out the door looking much like he usually did. Sure, there were goosebumps covering his arms, but those were soon covered by a Mountain Horse jacket and Sidney was off to the cafe to get food.
Sidney once plugged his house and the cafe into MapQuest to see how long it would take a normal person: four minutes. He then tried to see why it took him half the time. It was the speed limit; MapQuest is a perfect law-abiding citizen, and Sidney is not. So when he did get to the cafe, it was with the thrill of speed still in his mind. When he opened the door, the little bell dinged and he suppressed the urge to rip it off its cute little string and run it through a woodchipper, like he always did. The damn thing annoyed him early in the morning.
Sidney was about to walk to the kitchen window and order coffee to go when he saw a somewhat familiar face. He paused for a second, matching the face with the horse with the name. Long brown hair equals Guess Again equals.... Shawn Mara. Sidney took an alternate route to the "kitchen," but just so happened to pass Shawn's table and recognize her.
"You're... Shawn, right? I've seen you around the barn. I'm Sidney," he said, eliminating the awkward ohcrapwhat'shisname stage. He stood a bit awkwardly next to her table for a second. "So why're you here so early? You don't look like much of a morning person," he added. There was nothing worse than awkward silence.
